To apply for re-instatement of your status. Your lawyer or someone at your U can write a cover letter explaining this OOS was not due to your fault or controlled by you,bla bla.
I did this for re-instating F1, the officer of international student service at my U was so nice that she wrote the letter for me and put C/O of a local immigration officer who she knows well.
