My parents got their visas yesterday at Shanghai. The overall situation is very good. They said many parents got visas.

1. You should attach the materials for both of you, including all current and previous immigration documents.
2. Leaving some fields in DS156 emtpy is perfectly fine.
3. If you are working and salary is high enough to cover living cost of parents at US, savings don't matter much. It may be important if you are students.
