I would suggest you to re-do your federal tax by filing 1040X form and change your filing status to "married filing separately". Then you and your kids (who have SSN) would get the rebate later. I don't think writing to congress men would help at all because the plan was approved by all of them. How can you ask them to meet again and slash their own faces???
