hahaha....let me help to answer.

After reading pijiang's blog,
1. After using AP, you will become AOS, you are not in H1B status, but you can renew H1B. Keep is as a back up. AP is one of benefits of filing 485. So if you 485 gets rejected, you still can use your H1B. So if possible, renew your H1b when needed.

2. what's 797A. H1B ma? Yes, you can continue to work for current employer.
