That's my point. Anyone who understand US immigration practice in the 1990s and before 2001 knows that is absolutely not possible his I-485 has been pending for "6 years 4 months" as he claims.

immigration rules change very often, some true now were not possible a few years ago. and some norms 10 years ago are unimaginable now.
