Pls Help:I-94 (H4) expiration date is wrong

My situation is: I am H4 visa holder and came into USA in the JFK airport, the office put a wrong expiration date (05/03/2008) into my i-94 form, but the expiration date of my hu*****and, who is H1B visa holder, is set to 09/30/2010. we did not fly into USA in the same day.

I had came to the JFK and asked the officer to correct it, but they told me they cannot do it. They recommend me to the local office of CIS.

What do I need to do? Can I visit the local office without an appointment?
