using AP, re-enter US from Canada by car, will passport be stamp

Can any anyone tell me if I drive back from Canada and re-enter US (Buffalo, NY), will my passport be re-stamped? someone told me if I drive CIS officer only checks my documents at drive through window without stamping on my passport, is that true?

I want to get an entry record stamp on the passport.

Hope someone can answer my question, I am leaving from Canada on Monday.
