Sorry to hear this. I am having this trouble for a long time. Please read my previous post.

I wish I am wrong on below, but likely I am right, please feel free to comment:

1) you need J1 waiver or still need go to China to fullfill the requrement even you become a non Chinese citizen.

2) when I called Chinese embassy, the staff told me they are considering to report this situation to high management. Again, I wish she just not to say this to get rid of me.

I dare NOT to file any 140 or labor although my company is willing to do that. I am still staying with TN.
From what I heard, mostly like we will get into J1 when in I-485.

3) Hopefully someday Chinese government will have some kind of mercy to us. Otherwise, go with IGA or hardship which are also very hard to do.

Many people (I guess most are Chinese) have this issue. Please share your info and also talk to Chinese governemnt or DOS to let them know.

Someday, things will change. Hope it will not take too long.

BYW, to get H1 or L1 should not be an issue even if you still subject J1. I even got H1 immediately after J1. Sometimes, they just don't care. But they DO care when it is GC.
