FOIPA "no record" means nothing for name check. name check for I-485 is totally different program. Typically if you have arrest history, it will show up in your FOIPA. Name-check program focus on "potential" threat to national security, that's one of reason FBI never tell WHAT results of Name check (only tell it is done or not).

For your name check status, you have to either inquire infopass, call service center , or ask your senator/FL/congressman to check for you
