You current job position must be for BS or EB3 . just check your job offer letter or Ads, does it mention Ph D requirement ? Is not like something like degree decide everything, in china. Ph D means you have more training on research direction. It doesnt mean the training is helpful directly on your currently job. , EB means job based , rather than academic which is based on degrees.
