如果extension還在pending的話，你在舊的 H1b失效前回來，能入境，但拿到的是隻有剩下幾個月有效期的I-94卡。

1) if your extension has been approved, you may use the new I-797 for admission;
2) if not, your will-be-approved I-797 will give you a newer I-94 than the one obtained at CBP

Either way, you don't have to leave the country.
