To xiaobaitu, radiology or other experts: H4 urgent

My kids are renew H4 with my hu*****and, and they have A# with me. Question is: the lawyer ask whether they have applied for 485 and have A# number. Since my hu*****and is applying LC through his company, so we don't want the company knows this information. Is it OK to say no 485 filed for the kids? Whether this information is required by immigration office when apply for H4? thanks for your help.
