I would say the medicaid won't affect too much since she is not accepting cash support. But anyway, what other choice do you have if you really can't afford it? Or maybe you can talk to the hospital about the situation and they might be able to reduce your bill a lot, or you might be able to set up payment schedule to pay it off in a longer period, something like $100 for 30 months ...
