It should be fine...

My hu*****and used AP and he contibued working for same employer, I got my H4 smoothly. He also filed H1b transfer and I filed I-539 for H4 extension - but our cases were denied since our GC were approved before the non-immigration visa approved.
I think as long as you serve same employer, it should be no trouble. BUT be careful for using EAD.
