請問小白兔等高人關於入境

My hu*****and and I holds H1/H4, respectively. We have I-485 receipts, valid passports and maintan valid H status. In this August, we applied for AP, but have not received AP yet. In next January, we plan to go back to China to visit families and stay for a few weeks. We'd like to know

1. whether we can reenter U.S. from China without AP?
2. Do we need to re-apply H1/H4 visa in China?
2. Will it have negative effect on our applications for AP?
