I am very happy I finally received finger print notice (EB-3) after long time waiting. Due to my poor salary, I have to work extra to earn a living for all my family. I do e-commerce by myself as my part-time job and my extra income from it is much higher than my income from my work which my I-485 application depends on. I reported and paid a lot of tax on my extra income in the past 2 or 3 years, the real tax amount I paid is much higher than the tax amount printed on my W-2 form from employer. Today, my lawyer said this is a big problem. If immigration finds out my tax, they will consider my part-time self-employment as illegal then reject my green card. Is that true? The lawyer said sometimes immigration might neglect the part and approve my application. But if I am unlucky and they realize the tax difference, they will reject my green card for sure. I don't know the IRS and immigration will share the common tax data or not. What is the probability for me to get caught by this? Are there any solutions to fix the problem if I am really got caught? Since most of my extra income flows in through PayPal, can I explain that I am selling on ebay (just an excuse)? Because I think lots of guys sell on ebay, it should be OK, and I did not hide anything and paid the tax I should pay. Please shed your light for me. Thanks.
