Canadian Citizen to Travel Internationally with 485 Receipt Pend

Does anyone know whether I can go back to China now? I'm a 7/2 filer with receipt pending. I didn't apply for AP. My H-1B is multiple entry. Is the following advice true? Thanks a lot!
