Question about Kid's Receipt Number. Please Help

Our Notice Data is Sept.10(NSC). I can retrieve my status online but my kid (12 years). I always get failed message when I input his receipt number. Anyone has similar experience? Or kid doesn't have his own case?

BTW I have another question:
Does CIS always update status after they mail FP notice? I haven't gotten FP notice yet. My status is always ND.
