請教各位:用了I-485 的EAD 後, 是否還能申請H1B

I got my I-485 EAD based on my spouse's I-140. I just got an offer from a company and need to begin to work ASAP. The company is willing to apply H1B for me. But I'll have to use my I-485 EAD before the H1B gets approved.

My question is: after I use my I-485 EAD, can I still apply for H1B?
(I was told that once I am on I-485 pending status and used I-485 EAD, I couldn't apply for non-immigration status (like H1B, H4) any more, is that true?)
