拿到綠卡了!

我和LG上周六也終於拿到綠卡了, 下麵是我們申請的timeline, 供大家參考:

EB2 NIW (TSC)

04/28/2005 I140 and I485 concurrent filing

05/25/2005 I140 approved

08/05/2005 1st finger print for both of us (code 3)

05/11/2007 2nd finger print for both of us (code 1)

06/29/2007 Infopass, were told LG’s background checking was finished but mine (primary applicant) was still pending (it was a little frustrating that the official refused to tell me which part of the background checking was not done yet even when I asked explicitly whether it was the name checking)

07/03/2007 called customer service, was transferred to the national service, still didn’t get any useful information and was told a request letter was sent on my behalf (got the letter later in August, telling me security checks were not completed --- again nothing useful)

07/05/2007 wrote a letter to the Congressman and the senator for help (the Congressman wrote back on 07/10/2007 saying he would help but never heard back from the senator)

07/23/2007 called TSC customer service, and this time luckily the person confirmed it was my name check that was pending at FBI and the name check request was sent to FBI in early May 2005.

08/01/2007 wrote a letter to Mrs. Laura Bush asking for help with FBI name checking

08/17/2007 called TSC customer service again, was told the name check was still pending

09/17/2007 (all of a sudden) card production email notice to both of us

09/18/2007 welcome notice email to both of us

09/21/2007 I485 approval notice email to both of us

09/22/2007 card received (both of us)

想要提一下的是, 我們的online status 除了在第一次finger print之後和這幾天連續有幾次updates之外, 一直就沒有任何updates.為此還很是鬱悶, 覺得沒人動自己的case. 還是那句老話, 是你的早晚會來的, 但自己做些相應的努力至少對自己心理上有個交代. 我覺得我們最後拿到綠卡,那些給congressman 和first lady的信說不定也起了些作用.
