I used a lawyer in San Jose, CA. My I-485 name check had been pending for three and half years. I did everything just like you do, but no result.
After I moved to CA and understood the judge here is very nice to people who has name check pending for more than 3 years. And, since there are too many people file WOM by themselves these days, WOM is not as effective as before. I hired a lawyer. It took 20 days to see my case status changed (REF). As soon as we replied the REF, our cases got approved within 4 days.
