回複：再問：孩子國籍問題

如果我現在給孩子申請（我和妻子還沒綠卡，孩子出生在美國）中國國籍。那孩子就是雙重國籍了嗎！如果我跟妻子拿了綠卡，那孩子的中國國籍還合法嗎？這樣的雙重國籍能保留多久？請那位好大俠指教一下給孩申請中國護照的程序。

The Chinese nationality of your US-born kid is presented by his Travel Document issued by Chinese Consulate, which is based on his parents' current legal status in US of none citizen and non GC holder.

Such travel document is valid for 2 years.

Once his parents fail to prove their legal status in US rather than citizen/GC holder, the kid may no longer be issued additional travel document, in such case he needs to apply a visa so as to enter Chine.
