Am I in trouble?

I am a F-1 graduate student. Since I just need to write my thesis now, so I moved to my hubby's place (different states). We received -485 received in this July. I just realized that will the immigration officer deny my I-485 because I am a F-1 student but not in campus?

International students need to register at least 9 credits each semester, since I received my I-485 receipt, I guess I am in the "adjustment of status" period. Do I still need to register 9 credits?
If I used my Ap in Oct to go to China and get back. I am for sure not a F-1 anymore. Do I need to register 9 credits next semester?
