agree, as long as current employer does not revoke 140.
there is no need to "carry" at all, 485 is your personal adjustment of status, nothing to do with u r company anymore.
If REF happens after 6 month, just tell them u find a new employer and job duty is similar to the old one.
if REF happens within 6 month of filing 485, (but I doubt INS will touch your case within 6 month) you may have some problem.
