I also think you (your lawyer) may not have enough time to prepare
all docs for 140 and 485. Anyeway, you may confirm with your lawyer
your PD, and start apply for I-140 first.

It is almost impossible for you to file I-485 in Oct since the cut-off
date will became approximately April, 2005, while your PD is July or August of 2007.
