pjing or xiaobaitu or others, please help G325A question

I have a question about the G325A form about "applicant's employment last five years". When I was a Ph.D. student I did research in the lab as a Research Assistant and received salary monthly. Is this an employment? My friend in a Master program got a part-time job in campus, is that an employment? Thank you.
