回複:Pjiang, could you answer my question below?

Do I need to tell CIS about address change even before filing I-140 and I-485?
- Of course, and in a timely manner, not now years later.

My NC has been pending for more than 2 years. Today a friend of mine suddenly told me,maybe it is because I didn't tell CIS about my two address changes before I filed my I-140 and I-485.
Is that the possible reason?
- I don't think so, as your previous addresses were reflected in your G-325A already.

I thought I need to tell CIS about address changes only after I filed my I-140 and I-485, but before filing 140 and 485, I don't have to.
Many thanks for your answering
- Since you've already submitted your current address to USCIS, you need not to take any action right now. Please keep it in mind that an alien is required to update his address "within ten days of such change", per USCIS policy.
