Should I have to use the recommendation letter from my Phd advis

I am preparing the NIW myself. I am wondering if I have to use the recommendation letter from my Phd advisor. Her recommendation letter is regualr. Just listed everything I have done and every award I received. Should I have to use it due to she was my advisor?
