EAD is an added benefit for those when have file 485 so as to enable them to work legally.

You may apply EAD when your 485 is pending.

Your status is not changing due to sub-mission of 485.
Your status is not changing due to applying of AP/EAD.
Your status is not changing when receiving approval of AP/EAD.
Your status does change when you have used either AP/EAD.

Even though you've receive AP/EAD and at a later time, your 485 is denied, your AP/EAD will become invalid automatically.

If your 485 is denied before your AP/EAD being issued, they will not be issued any more.
