If you company sponsor your GC, you do not need to be worried at all. You have a degree, why worry with your case (company sponsored)? The company lawyer got paid to work hard.
The paycheck is a factor, but more goes to your company. I have no idea how much you are paid, honeywell friend was paid some 55k and MOT guy 62k when they applied. In my southern CA (san Diego), 75k is very so-so pay.
