I side with your lawyer: it seems there is absolutely no reason why you should raise such a hackle. I myself used USPS next next service - it is the same as Fedex.

Chinese like you are typically suspicios and untrusting. Learn how to communiate in a civil manner. If they gave you the USPS tracking number, of course you can find out if they have arrived or not!
