Sorry to hear that. It is the worst timing. I am afraid she has to go back to china to do CP.

For 485 approval, the applicant must be in valid nonimmigrant status when 485 is filed. Obvious she isn't. If she files and waits, and eventually 485 is denied after long wait, she would accumulate enough unlawful presence days to constitute another basis for denial, and 3/10 years ban if she eventually decides to go back for CP.

I would say go back to do CP asap.
