I made a mistake and hoped you won't. I was thinking no matter what my mum will get a new I-94 with either 3month or 6month. But we met the worst case scenario. She was requested to leave US before the experiation of her first I-94. They issued a new I-94 but stamp the old date. It depends on the office you will meet. But if you really need your parents to stay longer, extension would have more chance for what I have experienced.
