What does this mean?

"We transferred your application to the Detroit office on May 9, 2007. The Detroit office may contact you. "

My canada immigration online status showed up this information and we did receive the letter requesting FBI finger print and med examination from Detroit office.

The application was with Buffalo office initially. Do they change the processing method?
