RE: Parents visit canda

My parents hold B-2 visa, which is expired several years ago. Right now, they have valid I-94 card after the I-539 extensions. If they visit canada within a month, is it certain for them to reenter US? Do they need to apply visa again? Any suggestions? Thank you!
