possibility of I-485 application link to spouse's I-140?

this is a long story. My hu*****and and I applied I-485 separately with our own I-140 respectively. So both of us are the primary applicants. My hu*****and's I-485 was approved recently. Any way that I can keep my current I-485 while link to my wife's I-140 so that I don't have to worry about losing my job with my NC stuck?
I know this is probably a dumb question. But just want to ask you experts the possibilities. My lawyer knows nothing and does nothing once we paid her up.
