回複：EAD pending - help!

My wife's EAD (3rd time renewal) had been waiting for approval for more than 4 months. We went to infopass and was told the service center (TSC) was waiting for some clearance. They said it would be approved very soon but the predicted date would pass the expiring date and was not guarantied. The HR of her department said there is a two months grace period time which is the first time I ever heard. She also suggested us to contact CIE which is in charge of international scholars and students of the university. We did that and the director of CIE gave my wife a telephone number of a district congressman's office. The phone call saved the day. After the lady in congressman's office called TSC, case was approved immediately (in their word: already approved). We received her card one day before the expiring date. Hope this can help.
