請教小白兔及大家，can O1 visa holder file EB1-b or PERM?

Because of the H1 cap problem, company will file O1 for me. I heard from a friend that the company will not be able to sponsor EB1-b or PERM for me later, as long as I am in O1 visa. Is that true? Thank you very much!
