H-1 Visa and some other questions

1) I have a pending I-485, and is working for a company with my EAD. I plan to ask my company to sponsor H1 for me. I would like to know if there is anything I should be careful about.

2) I've heard that I should go back China to get my H1 if I had used EAD or AP. But my lawyer told me that it was not true. Can anybody clarify this for me?

3) In addition, I plan to go back China to have my wedding with my wife. Will it bring any risks to our green card application? I am particularly concerned about whether we will miss anything important during the 20 days while we are in China,which will cause us some trouble.
