Question on the Membership on I-485 filing:

I am a member of American Mathematical Society. Do I need to list this on the I485 form-(Part 3 C)?

My attorney's assistant suggestes NOT to put this and he said that "Membership" means these people who are member of any political organization or military organization only.

Any comments about this? Thank you in advance.
