H1B-i94的問題，請問小白兔

My H1B extension is approved recently but the I-94 number on it is the previous I-94 number I had. I went back to China last year and got a new I-94. My questin is: do I need to ask my lawyer to make correction on the I-94 number in H1B approval notice? or it doesn't matter.
