I-485 categorized?

Please advise whether or not I-485 applications are categorized upon I-140 applications? For example, EB1, EB2, or EB3. Or all I-485 applications are in the same pipeline and prioritized by the submittal date no matter what kind of approved I-140 applications? Thank you very much.
