You can use PP
and you should if your company agrees. You need a current resume and an employment verification letter that matches the requirement in the pre-approved LC. You need to ask you company write a letter verifying that the original beneficiary has not used the LC, nor she/he got immigration visa though LC. I just got I-140 approved with the substitution but with RFE. It took 2 months but really was delayed at the attorney side. Even the PD is current, it's better not file I-485 with I-140 just in case.
