XBt: my I485 is filed at 07/27/2005, and on

07/20/2006, I called INS and the email said "The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required investigation into your background remains open "

11/16/2006,I called INS again, the message from INS changed to " Your application is awaiting assignment to an Officer. You will be notified when a decision has been made or if additional information is needed."
01/18/2007, We did finger print again.

Then nothing happened. Last week I contacted the Senator in this state and a lasy in this office told me later that the FBI will give a feedbach in one month.

So I have some questin for XBT and any GGJJ;

(1). Is my namecheck complete now?
(2). What does "awaiting assignment to an Officer" mean?
(3). Do you have any idea that when my I485 will be approved?
(4). What can I do now? just wait?

Since my case is based on employemnt, I have to wait (Right?), But, I just got a new job and I really want to move. So XBT and any GGJJ, do you have any suggestions for this case, I really stucked right here.Sometimes I really want to give up. Thanks
