That is not a problem at all. With your 485 pending, you are legally staying in US. If you are just off work for a reasonable time period, it is no big deal. However, when your I-485 is finally processed, INS might ask for a RFE for your current employement situation. At that time, you need to have a job which enable you to answer that. But right now, since the visa bulletin is moving very slow, you should have a lot of time to enjoy yourself as you could predict when your case might be processed.
