You are absolutely right.

I am in the middle of employment-base GC application now. But I am thinking about getting a new EAD from this family-based GC application.

Given the fact that it only takes about 6 months to get a conditional GC and I have an AP from my company which expires in 5 months, I think I can save money on this one.
