小白兔和各位大俠請幫助!!!

I am living in an apartment under Section 42 of Internal Revenue Code, a Tax Credit Housing Program. I just called my lawer, she is not sure whether it is a public assistance or not, and not sure whether it will affect my green card application or not. Anyway I never singed any document with government to apply for benifits or assistance, but some documents with the apratment office for normal application. Would any one of you advise whether it will affect my green card application living in this kind of apartment and how serious it will be?
