Thank you very much for the info. It looks like the Amendment is always required. However, it is not sure if a LCA or even further a new H1B application is necessary (I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER). And how much money would an employer need to pay for H1b update for the promottion. If possible, could any one give me more information? Thanks,
