questions about Marriage GC

My LG is American. Both of us graduated several months ago, and he just got job last month (Dec. 2006). We don’t have most 3 years W-2s and Tax Return, either 3 months pay stub (one or two months might be available). What should we do? Is it a big challenge for my applying GC? Can we attach a cover letter or something to explain?
