changing name?

I just got married and am going to apply for GC through marriage.My hu*****and asked me to change my last name to his. I know this is American tradition. Will this affect all the documents I am preparing? should i change ssn card, driver license and everyhing? I am just afraid there is inconsistency between the name in my passport and green card. Does anybody have experience? thanks
